Welcome to Sidestepping Normal!

We are a millennial couple who quit our predictable lives in the UK to live an alternative life on the Greek island of Crete with our dog Dora.

After exploring a new culture, and having an amazing adventure, we headed back to the UK to recreate our Greek life near friends and family.

Unexpectedly, our life took a dramatic turn …we lost our newborn son, Arthur, at five days old in May 2021.

With a new perspective and purpose in life, join us as we create Arthur’s Patch – a four acre site for wildlife and people to thrive and heal.
